Starbucks Reserve card design for China Qingkai Farm coffee: This card is inspired by the story of this coffee’s producer, Cai Qingkai, whose name means “sunny” and “wide open”. He sets himself and his coffee quality apart with an unparalleled positive mindset and innovative spirit. I chose joyful and energetic colors that mirror his approach to coffee growing. I also illustrated an array of small organic icons that help tell his inspiring coffee journey story, along with references to that region’s terroir and native botanicals. Through the Starbucks Reserve program, they find and share one-of-a-kind coffees with customers around the world. These rare, small-lot coffees are brewed using the finest methods, all to bring the customer unforgettable tastes.
